BEXEL Manager

BL-BEX-03 · BIMLabs training programme

Advanced BEXEL Manager: 4D Planning, Methodology and Zoning

Develop a repeatable 4D planning workflow using project zones, construction methodology, creation templates and a validated schedule.

Concept illustration of construction zones, staged building works and a planning timeline
Trainer

Spyros Antoniou or Nicolas Nicolaou — one trainer is assigned for each delivery.

Duration

Duration agreed after the training needs review.

Who this programme is for

BEXEL users, planners, engineers and BIM leads developing model-based construction sequencing.

Before you start: BEXEL Manager Fundamentals or equivalent practical experience. Familiarity with construction sequencing and schedule logic is expected.

Learning outcomes

Programme outline

4D planning requirements

Define the purpose, level of detail, model readiness and planning assumptions.

Breakdowns and spatial zoning

Create suitable CBS and selection sets; define zones, spatial organisation and zone relationships.

Construction methodology

Create or import a methodology and check work sequences and logical dependencies.

Creation templates and schedule generation

Combine zones and methodology and generate a first schedule with tasks and relationships.

Schedule validation and refinement

Review durations, calendars, dependencies, critical path, line of balance and resource constraints where applicable.

Simulation and planning review

Create and review the 4D simulation, record issues and present a planning narrative and improvement actions.

Practical assessment

A zone-and-methodology-based scheduling exercise, assessed for logical sequencing, traceable assumptions and a clear 4D review.

What you will develop

Single-company and multi-company delivery

Available as single-company (mono-business) training or multi-company (multi-business) training. Single-company delivery is adapted to an agreed company workflow; multi-company delivery uses a common training dataset and learning objectives.

Participation, scope and delivery arrangements are agreed around the training needs and the format. The assigned trainer is confirmed for each delivery.

Automated schedule generation supports the planner’s work; the resulting programme must be reviewed against project constraints and professional judgement.

Programme outline prepared for review. No scheduled dates or HRDA approval are confirmed by this listing. Any subsidy is subject to the relevant scheme and eligibility requirements.
